Welcome to Logtown Missionary Baptist Church!
Hello my name is James E. Handie, Sr. and I’ve had the privilege of serving as Senior Pastor at Logtown Missionary Baptist Church for over twenty-three years. I’m excited about the progress we have made here over the years. The Spirit of God has been moving within, and through our Church and the community.
The Logtown Missionary Baptist Church has always been, and will continue to be, "The Church who's foundation is sure.....For it is founded upon a Rock." We believe that God’s purpose for us, as individual believers and as a church family, is “to know Jesus Christ and make Him known wherever we go”. We are steadfast in our resolve to follow, by God’s grace, the two great commandments of Jesus to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind”, and to “love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:36-40). We take seriously His great commission to go and “make disciples of all peoples” (Matthew 28:19). However, we realize that the task is far bigger than any of us, or even all of us together, can handle in our own strength and wisdom. It simply cannot be accomplished through human effort. It can only be done in the power of the Holy Spirit, abiding and thriving in the lives of His disciples. This is pretty much what the Logtown Missionary Baptist Church is all about.
